21) Tre Jackson, PG, Iowa State

Iowa State is another team in need of help in the backcourt with breakout candidate Tyrese Haliburton as the team’s only returning rotation guard, and Jackson has emerged as a potential candidate to start next to him.

Head coach Steve Prohm detailed what Jackson will bring to the Cyclones when he signed with them back in November.

"“The more I watched Tre this summer, the more I loved his competitiveness. He played on a smaller AAU organization, but his teams won. They beat the bigger names. He brings a toughness, he brings an energy to his team. His ability to play both guard positions is huge and he can really shoot.”"

That shooting ability is Jackson’s biggest asset. He’s quick, tough, and can handle the ball, but he’ll make his biggest impact right away with his shooting.

Prohm loves to employ athletic multi-guard lineups that can space the floor and defend, and Jackson fits that role perfectly. Even if he comes off the bench for them, he’ll likely play that “gunner” role tasked with providing an offensive spark.

If you’re looking for the biggest steal in this class, it might be Jackson, who I think will vastly outperform his No. 198 overall ranking in the 247sports Composite.
