26. Ty Jerome, Virginia

21 years old | Guard | 6-foot-5.5 | 194.4 lbs

Stats (JR): 13.6 ppg (.435/.399/.736), 4.2 rpg, 5.5 apg

Ty Jerome is one of my favorite prospects in this draft and I thought really hard about moving him up the Big Board further. One of the instrumental pieces in Virginia’s title season this past year, Jerome brings a solid all-around game to the table. He measures in at nearly 6-foot-6 and brings plenty of lead guard skills. He was a ~40% shooter from beyond the arc at the college level and uses his size well as a rebounder. Jerome also showcased the ability to involve others offensively while at UVA as he dished out his fair share of assists this past season. Although he is not the quickest player on the court, Jerome reads opponents extremely well to make up for this. He could be a much higher pick if not for his age (already 21-years-old) and below-average wingspan.

25. Talen Horton-Tucker, Iowa State

18 years old | Guard | 6-foot-4 | 235.4 lbs

Stats (FR): 11.8 ppg (.406/.308/.625), 4.9 rpg, 2.3 apg

Talen Horton-Tucker is massively intriguing. Despite being a 6-foot-4, he weighed in as one of the heavier players in the class at the NBA Draft Combine. With that said, though, he uses that body extremely well and also boasts a ridiculous 7-foot-1 wingspan. He is quite strong and seems to have an NBA-ready frame in terms of muscle. During his first season with Iowa State, THT showcased that he can be very dangerous with the ball in his hands. He is a downhill driver and finishes uniquely well in transition and around the basket. He also creates for others at a relatively high rate for an off-guard. The concerns center around his struggles to defend quicker guards on the perimeter and inconsistencies as a 3-point shooter.
