Johnny Juzang – Studio City, CA

SF | 6-foot-6 | 200 lbs | No. 32 overall

Originally a member of the 2020 recruiting class, Johnny Juzang reclassified earlier this year to join this group for the Kentucky Wildcats. Ranked as the No. 32 overall player in the class, he is exceptionally talented and should instantly improve the perimeter shooting for UK heading into this coming season. An excellent marksman from distance, Juzang is going to be a dangerous perimeter threat at the college level. He is a smooth athlete with a great shooting stroke and the confidence to let it fly at high volumes.

As a shooter, he can be successful both off the bounce and in catch-and-shoot situations. In addition, he boasts great size at 6-foot-6 and plenty of athleticism. This allows him to get his shot off with consistency, take advantage of mismatches, and evolve as a multi-positional defensive weapon. In order to take his game to the next level, Juzang likely needs to add more playmaking skills, both for himself and for others. At the very least, though, he should be a strong 3-and-D option for Coach Cal right away next season.

Juzang was clearly one of the best “late adds” to any recruiting class over the past couple of months and he seems to be a great fit for this coming season. With Tyler Herro and Keldon Johnson both expected to be selected in the first round of the NBA Draft, there was a clear need for incoming wing shooting. Juzang fits the bill and should see his fair share of playing time.
