NCAA Basketball Recruiting: A.J. Griffin grabs offers from Blue Blood programs
Wisconsin receives a commitment from twin brothers
Wisconsin Badgers coach Greg Gard got a two for one deal, sort of speak, on Saturday with twin brothers Jonathan and Jordan Davis verbally committing to the program. The twins join 6’1 point guard Lorne Bowman as members of the Badgers’ 2020 recruiting class.
Jonathan, who is a 6’5, 180-pound wing, is ranked among the top 150 prospects by 247Sports, 247Sports Composite and Rivals in the class. He also held offers from Marquette, DePaul, Iowa, Minnesota, and West Virginia among others. Wisconsin offered him in late December 2017.
Jordan, on the other hand, didn’t receive an offer from the Badgers until June 5. The 6’5, 185-pound shooting guard is not ranked by any of the major recruiting scholarships. He also held offers from UW-Green Bay, UW-Milwaukee, and UNLV.
Johnny averaged 23 points and 9.3 rebounds while Jordan averaged 12.3 points and 4.7 rebounds this past season while helping La Crosse (WI) Central High school reach the WIAA Division 2 state semifinals. Johnny’s performance got him a spot on the all-state first team.
