4. Trendon Watford, LSU Tigers

Trendon Watford was the No. 1 ranked player coming out of the state of Alabama, but that didn’t stop him from going out-of-state to join the LSU Tigers. Watford is a 6-foot-9, 230-pound forward prospect that has the versatility to develop into quite the player.  It helps he’ll face SEC competition, which isn’t short on NBA talent.

He’s a load to contain on the interior, especially on the offensive glass and also has the ability to stretch the floor with his 3-point shooter. Much like Naz Reid, Watford has some dynamic abilities on the hardwood and they’ll be on full display in Baton Rouge.

He’s got nice handles for a guy of his size and does a solid job of getting to the rim without drawing offensive fouls. Watford chose LSU over Duke, Indiana, Alabama and Memphis. Let’s see if he can turn his decision into a deep run in the NCAA Tournament come March.
