Damion Baugh – Memphis, TN

CG | 6-foot-4 | 185 lbs | No. 109 overall

Although the lowest-rated player in this recruiting class for Memphis, Damion Baugh is not someone that should go overlooked. Ranked just outside of the nation’s top-100, he is an elite combo guard with plenty of size at 6-foot-4. Perhaps above all other skills, Baugh has the potential to be a superb defender at the college level. He boasts excellent foot speed and quick hands that allow him to match up against just about every guard and he is extremely tenacious on that end of the floor. He brings a great motor defensively and it is very difficult to score on him with any level of consistency.

Additionally, he is an above-average rebounder for his position with plenty of skills as a secondary creator. While he can improve on the offensive end, particularly as a perimeter threat, he can attack the basket well and his passing vision is on display when he gets into the paint. Baugh’s offense might not be on the same level as some of the others in this recruiting class but his defense will surely make him a viable option for big minutes.

It is also important to mention that he can play positions 1-through-3 when on the court. This versatility will allow Coach Hardaway to play Baugh in many different roles, potentially maximizing his talent and playing time as a defender and blossoming scorer.
