Lester Quinones – Bradenton, FL

SG | 6-foot-5 | 180 lbs | No. 56 overall

Lester Quinones was a late addition to the 2019 recruiting class but a darn good one. At 6-foot-5 with a strong build, he is a dangerous guard with a ton of skill. Although he is not necessarily an elite-level athlete, he does just about everything well on the offensive end of the floor. Quinones is an exceptional 3-point shooter, capable playmaker, and can be impactful with and without the ball in his hands. When attacking the basket, he does a great job using his creativity to score in a variety of ways with regards to maneuvering around defenders.

On the defensive end of the floor, Quinones using his strength well although his foot speed is not the best. He does not necessarily project as a lockdown defender but should be quite solid on that end of the floor. With that said, he will be at his best as a featured scorer at the college level. Quinones does an excellent job filling up the basket and that will make him a valuable part of the rotation. Ranked as the No. 56 overall recruit in the country, Quinones is clearly a highly-touted player and he should be a great addition to the roster.

Quinones is a confident player and he should be a major part of the rotation next season due to his shooting abilities. It will be difficult to carve out a major role with several other guards on the roster (Ellis, Baugh, Lomax, Harris), but he brings an elite skill to the table with his perimeter shooting and scoring.
