Quinn Slazinski – Huntington, WV

PF | 6-foot-8 | 200 lbs | No. 313 overall

Quinn Slazinski is the lowest-rated player in Louisville’s recruiting class but the potential is there for him to grow into a solid rotation player throughout his career for the program. Due to the abundance of frontcourt options on the roster for 2019-20, many expect that Slazinski will redshirt this season to work on developing his game for future playing time. At 6-foot-8 with a well-built frame, Slazinski has a college-ready body and his game currently seems to center around his shooting ability.

Slazinski’s shooting form is consistent and quick enough to make a potentially dangerous threat down the road. Due to his size, it seems as though his future role will be that of a stretch-four and developing his 3-point shot even further will go a long way. In order to take the next leap, Slazinski will need to improve as a ball handler and playmaker. He does not create all that well for himself or others at this point in time. If he is able to improve in those two facets, Slazinski will be able to attack closeouts a bit better and dish to the open man when he gets past his defender.

Even though there are some weaknesses in Slazinski’s game, he will hopefully be able to use this upcoming redshirt year to improve in those facets. If that occurs, he will be in for a solid career with the Cardinals. He might be the lowest-rated player in the class but could be one of the more impactful players in the group from a four-year career perspective.
