4. Louisville Cardinals

Louisville is stacked for 2019-20. Head coach Chris Mack has not been at the helm of the program all that long but his level of success on the court and on the recruiting trail has been incredibly impressive. With Jordan Nwora and several other key contributors returning for this coming season, it is easy to see why the Cardinals are projected by many to be a title contender during this coming season. Oh, and it certainly doesn’t hurt that they are bringing in the No. 7 overall recruiting class in the country.

At the core of these predictions, though, is Nwora. One of the nation’s best forwards, Nwora is coming off a season in which he averaged 17.0 points (.446/.374/.765) and 7.6 rebounds per game. He is a sensational all-around player and will be the star of the team. In addition, Fresh Kimble looks to come in and play big minutes as one of the lead guards on the roster while Dwayne Sutton should be an impact performer.

From the recruiting class, hopes are high for top-20 prospect Samuell Williamson. A 6-foot-6 wing with a budding skill set, Williamson could emerge as one of the top scoring options for the team while top-50 center Aidan Igiehon could use his chiseled frame to carve out plenty of minutes. Louisville should have a great mix of experienced veterans and talented freshmen during this coming season. They belong in the top-10.
