1. Trayce Jackson-Davis (Indiana – C)

For the second season in a row, Indiana’s Mr. Basketball is staying right at home. Jackson-Davis received a great deal of interest, paying visits to UCLA, Iowa, Michigan State, and Wake Forest during a long recruiting process. He inevitably committed to Indiana back in November soon after a visit and will bring excitement to Bloomington.

A McDonald’s All-American, Jackson-Davis is a 6’9 big man with great length. He moves around the court with relative speed and has solid athletic ability. He’s built well enough to play center and is a solid rebounder. He has the ability to post up but can do some work on his range. He’s a bit of a classic kind of big man and working on that range will help develop his game. Fortunately, he has the physical ability to become a star at the next level, especially if that development happens.

Jackson-Davis will be a powerful force down low for the Hoosiers next season and should start from the beginning. With continued improvement, he’ll become more of a lethal force in the paint as his shooting improves around the court. He’s the son of a former NBA player and could easily develop into a future NBA stud himself.
