Romeo Weems – DePaul Blue Demons

PF | 6-foot-7 | 215 lbs | No. 59 overall

Romeo Weems has a never-ending motor. No matter the situation, he is constantly working hard when on the court and that is a direct cause of his production. Weems is a hard-worker when on the court and makes plays in a variety of ways. He already boasts a physical frame that is ready for the college level and can score both inside and out. Even though he is a bit of an undersized power forward, he makes up for this with his athleticism, strength, and a versatile offensive game that make him hard to match up with.

DePaul has been a struggling program for the past few years but they have a very solid recruiting class coming in with Weems as the headliner. Even though he is listed as a power forward, Weems has plenty of potential as a self-creator. He is a strong ball handler for his size, passes out of double-teams well, and can finish off the bounce as well. More than anything, though, he is the type of high-energy player that will find consistent minutes right away and throughout his career as a potential star.

It is also important to mention that Weems will slide in next to Paul Reed in the DePaul rotation next season. With those two roaming the floor, it will be nearly impossible for any other team in the conference to match DePaul’s energy and motor in the frontcourt. They will be a tough bunch with the dynamic duo of Weems/Reed running the court.
