Joey Brunk – Indianapolis, IN

C | 6 – foot – 11 | 230 lbs. | Grad Transfer

Joey Brunk is coming to Indiana by the way of Butler University. Brunk is not an eye-popping addition but he is going to help out with quality depth down low. He has two seasons of eligibility left and will be able to play immediately this season as a grad transfer. He is the tallest player on the roster and has a typical big man repertoire and in high school, he showed off a decent jump shot.

Brunk was granted a hardship waiver his freshman year while dealing with a family illness.  Brunk is able to work the block well and able to use his size to snag rebounds. There are many that believe he can still tap into the potential he had coming out of high school, and if so, Indiana snagged a really good addition.

Archie Miller has put together a solid class to go along with his current roster. The 2018 recruiting class is going to progress and will be better than they were last year. To be fair to Miller and the Hoosiers, they did play a rather young roster last season. Bringing Joey Brunk to the team is going to help bring leadership and experience.

The Hoosiers are heading into the 2019-2020 season on a make-or-break type mentality and with the addition of Jackson-Davis and Armaan Franklin, they should be heading in the right direction.
