Nijel Pack – Indy Heat

PG | 5-foot-10 | 165 lbs | No. 194 overall

Nijel Pack has flown under the radar for too long. Even though he does exhibit prototype size or athleticism, he simply gets the job done during every single game. As the lead guard for Indy Heat, he consistently puts his teammates in positions to succeed and also is scoring at a high clip himself. On the whole, Pack put together a really strong summer but Peach Jam was the exclamation point to it all. He started out the week by making headlines with a triple-double performance and carried that strong play throughout the event.

By the end of his time in North Augusta, Pack put up averages of 20.0 points (.485/.316/.714), 6.0 rebounds, 8.7 assists, and 2.2 steals…on a really good team. I don’t care what his recruiting ranking says, that is a darn good player with a bright future at the college level. Due to his previously mentioned shortcomings, it seems as though Pack might be close to reaching his ceiling but he should, nonetheless, be a strong four-year player.

With regards to his recruitment, Pack has already committed to Kansas State. This was a big-time early coup for head coach Bruce Weber on the recruiting trail as Pack should be a very consistent point guard presence for the future. Pack was clearly exceptional at Peach Jam but it was only the continuation of an already strong EYBL season.
