NCAA Basketball Recruiting: Analyzing Cam’Ron Fletcher’s top five
Michigan State Spartans
Michigan State has been a heavy player in this recruitment for almost the entire last year. Head coach Tom Izzo has clearly built an incredible basketball culture in East Lansing and the title potential is obviously quite high. The Spartans are one of the most consistently great programs in the land. The combination of MSU’s lengthy involvement in this recruitment and level of on-the-court success makes them a very dangerous player for Fletcher. At this point in time, it seems as though the Spartans are among the favorites to land the talented forward.
Jalen Terry, a top-75 point guard, is Michigan State’s lone commit in the 2020 class so far and Fletcher would fit alongside him quite nicely. Terry is a sensational floor general at the point guard position that would do a great facilitating the offense for other scorers. If Fletcher was to choose the Spartans, he would link up with Terry to form a dynamic duo of early commits. Michigan State’s 2020 recruiting class has a high ceiling right now and Fletcher would further that potential.
In my opinion, Michigan State possibly has the most to offer in this recruitment. Each program has the ability to offer something a little bit different, but MSU’s combo of success and lengthy involvement in the recruitment will be hard to beat. With that said, it certainly seems as though Missouri and Kentucky are also very dangerous contenders. I wouldn’t necessarily rule the other two out, but those three seem to be the favorites.
