Kentucky Wildcats

Kentucky is always one of the most dangerous recruiting programs in the nation. With head coach John Calipari leading the way, the Wildcats can seemingly always be expected to land a top-5 recruiting class. Whenever they are involved in a recruitment, it is fair to assume that they are very dangerous. Coach Calipari never issues a scholarship offer without serious consideration for the player and the Wildcats could easily be the favorite to land Fletcher at this point in time as a result of their early misses in the 2020 class.

Most notably, the Wildcats were among the final four in the running for small forward Jalen Johnson (No. 4 overall). Now that Johnson is a Duke commit, UK can move down the line to its next prospects on the wing. These seem to clearly be BJ Boston (No. 10 overall) and Fletcher. Because of this, it is reasonable to think that Kentucky is making a pretty strong push in this recruitment. The Wildcats are definitely in the market for wings in the 2020 class and Fletcher would be a great addition.

At this point in time, Kentucky does not have a commitment from the 2020 class. That is surely going to change in the near future and Fletcher could be the one that does it. If Coach Calipari is serious about landing a commitment from Fletcher prior to the early signing period, then the Wildcats could be the team to beat. UK, though, might have higher priorities at this point.

Fletcher is clearly one of the top players in the 2020 recruiting class and he could be an early signing period addition for one of these programs. Missouri would be ecstatic to land the in-state product but Kentucky and Michigan State should never be counted out. Oh, and maybe North Carolina or Alabama makes a surprising run to the top of his list.
