Anthony Leal – Bloomington South (IN)

SG | 6-foot-5 | 195 lbs | No. 96 overall

Anthony Leal has been rumored to be a future Hoosier for a very long time. But considering he did not immediately commit after receiving an offer, there are some fans questioning whether or not those previous predictions hold water. Leal has dipped a bit in national rankings during the grassroots season but is still holding onto a top-100 spot in the class. He brings plenty of size to the shooting guard spot at 6-foot-5 and is a polished scorer.

At this point in time, it is safe to say that Indiana remains one of the favorites for Leal but there are a few other programs potentially in the mix. He has also received scholarships from academically prestigious schools such as Northwestern and Stanford. I wouldn’t count either one of them out. Regardless, if the Hoosiers end up making Leal one of their top priorities this fall, it still feels like he could commit to the program…along with the next player on this list.

Trey Galloway – The Culver Academies (IN)

SG | 6-foot-4 | 200 lbs | No. 178 overall

Trey Galloway is one of Leal’s teammates on the Adidas circuit and he has also been regarded as an IU lean for some time. A strong defender, solid shooter, and underrated athlete, Galloway has the potential to exceed his recruiting ranking at the college level. He is about as consistent as they come and would be a valuable addition to any program as a three-star wing. In addition to IU, he holds offers from Michigan State, Iowa, and Butler.

There have been discussions of Leal/Galloway continuing their dynamic duo at the college level for a long time and it feels as though IU would be their destination if that occurs. Considering that the Hoosiers have four open scholarships for the class, they could lock up their future on the wing by adding this duo if those commitments occur. IU might be the favorite for both now, but recruitments can change quickly, especially at this point in the year.

Jalen Bridges – Fairmont (WV)

SF | 6-foot-7 | 180 lbs | No. 83 overall

Indiana is in a ton of fierce recruiting battles and this is yet another one. With offers from several top-tier programs, Jalen Bridges is going to be a tough snag. A 6-foot-7 wing with the ability to score at all three levels, Bridges projects as a matchup nightmare at the college level. The Hoosiers only offered Bridges in late-June, though, so they have to make up substantial ground on those other programs that have been involved for much longer. This includes attempting to overcome the efforts of West Virginia, who seems to be the favorite at this point in time.

Bridges is likely to trim his list in the near future and IU will hopefully make that cut. If they do, that will give Coach Miller a bit more time to pitch the benefits of heading to Bloomington. Bridges is also an AAU teammate of Zach Loveday, another IU target, and potentially landing both as a package would be a massive coup for the program.

Jordan Geronimo – St. Paul’s School (NH)

SF | 6-foot-5 | 187 lbs | Unranked

Although unranked at the moment by 247Sports, that will likely change soon for Jordan Geronimo. The 6-foot-5 wing has been absolutely awesome on the Adidas circuit as of late and new offers are coming in quickly. He is quite athletic, stretches the floor well with his jumper, and has shown significant strides on the defensive end of the floor as well. He has received an incredible amount of scholarship offers from high-major programs in the past couple of weeks, including those from Virginia Tech, Penn State, Providence, Texas A&M, and, of course, Indiana.

Considering the Hoosiers are part of this first wave of high-major offers, it is reasonable to assume that they could become a big player in this recruitment over time. Geronimo is currently in the midst of his “blow up” period and he is seemingly only gathering more momentum. Finding a way to create an early connection could lead to a major under-the-radar pickup.
