Duke is a dominant force…again.

Duke is easily one of the top recruiting programs in the entire nation. That much is evident every single year and is already carrying over to the 2020 class. Even though most other bluebloods are without commits at this point in the year, the Blue Devils have already landed two top-20 prospects in the class. This shouldn’t come as a surprise but it is a major takeaway nonetheless. Coach K and Co. have quickly done away with the idea that they would struggle on the recruiting trail without Jeff Capel as they have landed high-level prospects with consistency since his departure.

Jalen Johnson (No. 4 overall) and Jeremy Roach (No. 18) make up the two-man class so far for Duke. With Johnson as an incredibly versatile playmaking wing and Roach as a solid all-around point guard, it is clear that this an excellent duo to build around moving forward. The Blue Devils’ class is currently ranked at No. 2 in the country and it seems already extremely likely that Coach K will land yet another top-5 group.

The coaching staff currently has offers out to the likes of Walker Kessler, Mark Williams, Cade Cunningham, and DJ Steward (among others). It seems extremely likely that multiple of these players will commit to the Blue Devils in the near future, making this class once again among the best in the country. Coach K and Co. have built a recruiting dynasty and that won’t end here.
