Florida Gators

Florida is a preseason top-10 team this upcoming season thanks to a pair of incoming five-star recruits in Scottie Lewis and Tre Mann, along with the pickup of elite grad transfer center Kerry Blackshear. But they could look very different by the time Taylor would arrive, especially if sophomore forward Keyontae Johnson decides to enter the 2020 NBA Draft as well.

Although the Gators will probably recruit higher-rated forwards in the 2020 class, there still would be a need for Taylor. Head coach Mike White prefers to use a rotation big men throughout the game and likes having those with a defensive mindset. While continue to try and land various top-50 players, landing a piece like Taylor would do wonders for their overall depth going forward.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Considering that they didn’t even have a 2019 recruiting class, Mike Brey and Notre Dame really needs to find some gems in the next group. Particularly in the frontcourt, with big men Juwan Durham and leading scorer and rebounder John Mooney set to depart after next season. That leaves just rising sophomore forward Nate Laszewski left on the roster.

The Irish has been hard after Taylor, who hard-nosed style fits with the team’s system. He’ll also be surrounded by some pretty good perimeter players such as Prentiss Hubb, Dane Goodwin and Stanford transfer Cormack Ryan. There should be some immediate playing time for Taylor if he picks them, with a chance to develop into possibly the next version of Bonzie Colson.
