North Carolina Tar Heels

Memphis and Michigan have upside but, if Todd picks anyone other than Kentucky, most believe it will be his home state North Carolina Tar Heels. Head coach Roy Williams is relatively new to the one-and-done game but he’s had success in recent years by landed Nassir Little, Coby White, Cole Anthony, and Armando Bacot.

Williams also utilizes his big men as much as anyone in the country. He loves to play two traditional bigs yet has shown a recent tendency to go with a versatile four-man. Little, Luke May, and Cameron Johnson all played that role at times last year.

UNC does have something no one else has going for them – the opportunity for Todd to play his college ball locally for a national power and the most revered program in the state. Playing in the ACC and in the UNC-Duke rivalry means something special to people in North Carolina. It may not be the deciding factor or even a major factor in Todd’s decision, but that’s a unique pitch for the Tar Heels.

No matter where Todd goes, he will be playing for a high-profile program, but each of the five programs he’s considering offer him something different. It appears to be Kentucky for now yet, as we all know in recruiting, things can change very quickly.
