Kentucky Wildcats

Kentucky is in the mix for another top prospect? You don’t say.

The Wildcats have already secured commitments from two top-40 prospects in the 2020 class in five-star BJ Boston Jr. and four-star Cam’Ron Fletcher, and they’re among the favorites for a handful of other five-star prospects. John Calipari appears to be in the process of putting together another trademark class, and Brown could be a big part of it.

For starters, there should be plenty of opportunity for playing time. The Wildcats experience plenty of roster turnover due to players leaving for the NBA Draft every year and, with another lineup full of five-star prospects, UK may have a number of holes they need to fill.

Brown’s versatility means he should be able to fill a role no matter what. He can play on the wing in a bigger lineup or down low in a smaller lineup thanks to his size, and Calipari loves to utilize players with that versatility.

Kentucky is also, well, Kentucky. They would provide Brown with the opportunity to play for one of the country’s blueblood programs and for a coach that has a reputation for producing elite NBA-level talent on a yearly basis. Brown (obviously) wants to make it to the next level, and Kentucky is a well-known path on how to get there.
