Michigan Wolverines

While the Buckeyes have a more crowded frontcourt, Michigan is going to be wide open after the graduation of Jon Teske. Sophomore big men Brandon Johns and Colin Castleton have a lot to prove after underwhelming first years despite being former four-star recruits themselves. There will be plenty of opportunities for Ware as a freshman to have the team centered around him offensively.

Ware will visit the Wolverines a month from now and will be a high priority for new head coach Juwan Morgan, one of the better forwards in the game of basketball. Having the opportunity to work with him would be a plus for the young power forward prospect. He’d join fellow four-star commit Zeb Jackson in the class and be the first key frontcourt piece as well. With other top-50 prospects such as Henry Coleman, Isaiah Todd and Walker Kessler in the mix, it could end up being an elite 2020 recruiting class for the program.

Miami Hurricanes

With Dewan Hernandez officially gone, the Hurricanes are going to have to find some frontcourt production. When it comes to players they already have on the roster (Sam Waardenburg, Deng Gak and Cincinnati transfer Nysier Brooks), none of them have a reputation of having an offensive game. Adding a potent forward such as Ware would be the perfect complement for the other frontcourt pieces on the roster and he’d be a focal point on the offense.

Playing in South Beach in the ACC isn’t a bad thing either and head coach Jim Larranaga has a history of sending players to the NBA. The concern would be how the team looks for the 2020-21 season is leading scorer Chris Lykes decides to forgo his senior season. There’s not much production we know about on the roster so Ware could be fighting an uphill climb to make the NCAA Tournament in that case.
