No. 2 – Villanova Wildcats

In what was supposed to be a “down” year for the Wildcats, Jay Wright’s squad still managed to win 26 games and yet another Big East championship. But, what really suffered was their Watchablity. After the 2018 squad led the nation in Effective Field Goal Percentage and Offense Efficiency, those ranks slipped to 23rd for Offensive Efficiency and 68th for Effective Field Goal Percentage.

And while those are numbers most teams would be proud of, it’s not the type of basketball were used to seeing Jay Wright produce. Well, let’s just say we won’t have to worry about lack of star power from his squad this year. After losing last year’s five-star recruit Javon Quinnery to Alabama, Wright managed to land his two highest-rated recruits ever (according to 247 Sports) in the multidimensional KG clone in Jeremiah Robinson-Earl and professional scorer Bryan Antoine.

With these two stars manning a system that has produced some of the most successful and most importantly watchable basketball this decade, Villanova is back to being must-see TV.
