Jay Scrubb – John Logan College (IL)

SG | 6-foot-6 | 220 lbs | No. 1 overall JUCO

As the top-rated JUCO player in the country, Jay Scrubb would be an immediate impact player at any school in the country. He already took an unofficial visit to Louisville in early August and is also considering schools such as Cincinnati and Memphis. Scrubb was absolutely tremendous during this past season for John Logan College while posting averages of 20.2 points (.549/.464/.791) and 8.9 rebounds per game. He is a deadly shooter at 6-foot-6 with the ability to impact each game in a number of ways. Scrubb will have two years of eligibility remaining but could also take the NBA route after this coming season rather than continuing to play in college. Louisville has shown plenty of interest and he would be a great addition.

Zach Loveday – Huntington Prep (WV)

C | 7-foot-0 | 200 lbs | No. 109 overall

Even though Zach Loveday is the only current target ranked outside of the nation’s top-100, he is definitely near the top of Louisville’s priority list. As a true 7-footer, he brings plenty of size to the table and plenty of game. He is a smart player with the ability to score both inside and out. Loveday really understands his playing style and consistently works on adding new skills that will make him more difficult to cover. Additionally, he runs the floor well and is the epitome of a modern big man. Louisville has been heavily targeting him for a long time and they should be regarded as one of the favorites at this point. Some of the others involved include Ohio State and Indiana, among others.
