Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye; Guard (Bradley)

Club: Bergamo (Italy)

Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye is originally from London England, but spent the four years of his college career with the Bradley Braves. He contributed greatly to the success of his squad, being a reliable court commander and averaging just under 10 points per game over the course of his career.

While his offensive numbers may certainly not wow anyone looking at a stat sheet, he is very much a two-dimensional player. His ability to play defense was just as important, if not more, than his ability to control the ball, in catalyzing the success of Bradley.

He is also within the Great Britain National Team pool, already having represented the country on a few occasions.

Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye’s senior leadership, as well his talent, were a huge factor in getting Bradley into the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2006. To be a senior and lead the team to the NCAA Tournament must be a very rewarding feeling.

Bradley’s presence in the 2019 NCAA Tournament was short-lived as they fell 76-65 to Michigan State. Lautier-Ogunleye refused to let his team go down without a fight. He scored 14 points and collected 8 rebounds in what proved to be a great final performance to conclude his college career.

That ending is only the beginning for Dwayne as there is still plenty of basketball to be played in his future. He is taking his two-dimensional game to Bergamo and Italy according to the Bergamo Basket Twitter. He will also continue to compete for Great Britain.
