Kimbal Mackenzie; Guard (Bucknell)

Club: Carramimbre CBCV (Spain)

Bucknell’s Kimbal Mackenzie often had the hot-hand from deep. He was a very reliable guard for the Bison. His solid basketball mind, smart passing, excellent three-point shooting ability and great agility, all define his college game.

During his four years at Bucknell, Mackenzie averaged just under 11 ppg, and a remarkable 17.6 ppg his senior year. His most notable performance was against West Virginia in the 2017 NCAA Tournament. Mackenzie was just a sophomore at the time, but that did not stop him from putting up 23 points and putting his team in position to pull off an upset.

Unfortunately, West Virginia survived 86-80; however, Mackenzie was definitely the best player on the court that day. His success at Bucknell goes much beyond that game, as he often hit important shots when they mattered most for the Bison.

In 2018, Mackenzie played a huge role in allowing Bucknell to return to the NCAA Tournament. He played well in the First Round once again, scoring 10 points, but Michigan State escaped with the 82-78 win.

Mackenzie was not at enough of a level to draw attention from the NBA, but nonetheless, he was noticed by professional teams in Europe. He will be playing for Carramimbre CBCV in Spain, according to the Carramimbre CBCV Twitter.
