Dalen Terry – Hillcrest Prep (AZ)

SF | 6-foot-6 | 190 lbs | No. 38 overall | COMMITTED

Dalen Terry committed to Arizona on July 23rd and he is a big-time addition for the future of the program. Ranked as the No. 38 overall prospect in the country, he is an extremely talented player but also one with plenty of room to develop. At this point in time, Terry is highly-regarded as a playmaking wing. He sees the floor uniquely well, makes high-level reads/passes, and can run an offense from time to time. With his 6-foot-6 athletic frame, Terry does a nice job probing the inside offensively and either finishing for himself or finding an open teammate.

Furthermore, his size and athleticism make him a potentially ideal candidate to be a switchable defender. The ability to defend multiple positions is almost paramount to success in the modern game and he should be able to bring that to the table. This two-way versatility as a playmaker and defender makes him a fun player to watch even if he has room to develop as a shooter and scorer.

It seems clear that Terry is going to be a major piece of the puzzle for Arizona during the 2020-21 season. He is a uniquely talented prospect and his set of skills would allow just about any prospect to join him on the wing and mesh well. He can also play point guard on occasion. Terry understands when to pick his spots and is always eager to find an open teammate for a better shot. Additionally, his strong defensive potential could make him fan-favorite.
