18. Javonte Perkins – St. Louis

JUCO school: Southwestern Illinois College

An early commitment to the Billikens, Perkins averaged 20 ppg and 7.0 rpg a couple of seasons ago while shooting ridiculous percentages from the field. At 6’7, he’s a versatile prospect who can play and guard multiple positions on the court.

Saint Louis lost of ton of production from last season’s roster including leading scorers Javon Bess and Tramaine Isabell and are going to need Perkins to contribute early and often this year. He would be a great fit in the frontcourt along with Hasahn French due to his ability to stretch the floor while not giving up too much on the defensive end.

17. Quentin Jackson – Texas A&M

JUCO school: College of Central Florida

The top player in Buzz William’s first recruiting class with the Aggies, Jackson is a 6’5 wing who can play multiple positions. He averaged 18 ppg last season and between his ability to shoot and athleticism, Jackson is a player to watch on a Texas A&M team needing more talent to compete.

The hope is that Jackson will have a similar kind of impact that Wendell Mitchell did a year ago. He along with Savion Flagg, TJ Starks and Jay Jay Chandler all return, along with an incoming recruiting class. Jackson’s motor and willingness to play defense will be an asset for Coach Williams as he sets the tone with the culture of his new program.

16. James Jean-Marie – San Diego

JUCO school: Navarro College

The 6’7 Canadian forward was very productive last season, going for 12.7 ppg and 7.3 rpg. He’s more of a power forward at the D-I level but is a very good athlete who can score efficiently as well. When it comes to “impact”, Jean-Marie will have plenty of opportunities to produce at San Diego this season.

That’s because the Toreros lost their top four scorers, including 6’7 forward Isaiah Pineiro. Along with Yauhen Massalski and Alex Floresca in the frontcourt, Jean-Marie will be tasked with providing offense from inside. If he can do that, the Toreros won’t take a major slide down the WCC power rankings.
