#3 Ohio State Buckeyes

55/1 (NCAA Basketball 2019-2020 top 5 future bets)

Chris Holtmann is going to have a very talented squad heading into the 2019 season, as he enters the third season of his tenure. The Wesson brothers, Kaleb and Andre, will be back in action, with Kaleb being the better of the two and an absolute animal in the paint. CJ Walker, transfer from Florida State, will most likely take over duties as starting PG, replacing C.J Jackson. If not Walker, DJ Carton, the 4th-rated point guard in the 247Sports Composite will start, but regardless, the guard play will be deep.

The Buckeyes had an impressive tournament win, beating Iowa State, and hopefully, they can build some momentum off of last season. They lost C.J Jackson, who was a big part of the offense, but other than him, this team has its same core. Top to bottom, this has to be Chris Holtmann’s most talented team and I’m excited to see if this team can put it all together.

At 55/1, you have to consider the Buckeyes as a dark horse to make a run and win the tournament. The Buckeyes have made the tournament the last two years, but both years failed to reach the Sweet Sixteen. I don’t see the odds of the Buckeyes going up from 50/1 and I project the Buckeyes to move anywhere to 30/1 or 25/1 headed into the tournament. I expect this team to end up in the Top-20 and end up as a four seed in the big dance. If you like the Buckeyes to make a deep tournament run and win it all, take them to win it at 55/1.
