Non-conference Games

Nov 14th @ Georgetown

Nov 27th vs Ole Miss (NIT Tipoff)

Nov 29th vs Syracuse/Oklahoma State (NIT Tipoff)

Dec 4th vs Wake Forest

Dec 14th vs Alabama

Not the worst non-conference schedule of all time, a chance to play some high-major opponents while avoiding some of the biggest names. The NIT Tipoff is a chance to get some early season experience against a quality field before heading into conference play. The Big 10 is deep and Penn State needs to ensure they get a few quality wins under their belt if they want any chance of getting an at large bid. Wake Forest in the ACC/Big 10 Challenge is certainly a winnable game.

Conference Games

Dec 7th @ Ohio State

Jan 11th vs Wisconsin

Jan 18th vs Ohio State

Jan 22nd vs Michigan

Feb 4th @ Michigan State

Feb 11th @ Purdue

Mar 3rd vs Michigan State

Listen, Big 10 play is going to be hard, but all things considered Penn State got a pretty good draw, they only have to play Purdue, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Maryland one time. Beating Michigan State and Ohio State in any of those games at this point looks unlikely but a win would surely be a major statement on their resume come Selection Sunday. Penn State has to prove they can play with good teams if they want to be considered in March and the BIg 10 will give them lots of opportunities to do that.
