Keon Ambrose-Hylton – Toronto, ON (Canada)

PF | 6-foot-8 | 200 lbs | No. 77 overall

Alabama only recently issued a scholarship offer to Keon Ambrose-Hylton on Sept. 9. As a result, it is reasonable to expect that the coaching staff is still eagerly targeting the top-100 power forward in hopes of landing a commitment. Ambrose brings plenty of size to the frontcourt at 6-foot-8 and oozes versatility.

He can score at all three levels and rebounds at an extremely high rate as well. With his size and athleticism, it is possible that he emerges as a multi-positional defender as well.

Even though the Crimson Tide were not originally part of Ambrose’s final 10, their late entry into the battle needs to be noted. Coach Oats and Co. likely have an uphill battle ahead to potentially snag this commitment but there does not seem to be a clear favorite at this point in time.

Ambrose has been steadily rising in recruiting rankings for the last several months and Bama would be getting a major steal if they were able to receive a commitment despite their late interest.

Ambrose clearly looks the part of a high-major power forward and will be an immediate impact player as a freshman. He competed in 17 contests with UPLAY Canada (CAN) on the Nike EYBL circuit this past summer and performed very well.

He averaged 14.2 points (.443/.289/.500), 6.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.3 steals per game over the course of all sessions but was particularly excellent at Peach Jam. He showed up best when it mattered most.
