Isaiah Jackson – Waterford, MI

PF | 6-foot-9 | 190 lbs | No. 24 overall

Isaiah Jackson is easily one of the best athletes in the entire 2020 class and this makes him a particularly special defender. Jackson stands at 6-foot-9, runs the floor remarkably well, rebounds with the best of them, and exhibits superb timing as a rim-protector. Additionally, as a result of his quick feet, he has the ability to defend multiple positions. Jackson can be a stopper both on the perimeter and under the basket.

On the offensive end of the floor, Jackson scores many of his points as a result of his high motor. He is simply always giving it his all on the court and this results in many hustle rebounds and finishes. Jackson has taken significant strides with his offensive game over the past year but there is still room to improve. His ceiling is perhaps among the highest in the country and it is easy to see why he is regarded as a top-25 prospect.

Isaiah Jackson is fresh off averaging 10.9 points (.537/.071/.670), 6.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 2.3 blocks per game on the EYBL circuit. This all came while barely playing over 20 minutes per game. His defensive prowess was on display while holding down the paint for The Family Detroit (MI).

With regards to this recruitment, Michigan State has been rumored to be the favorite for some time. With that said, though, Alabama has definitely made a charge and it wouldn’t be a major surprise if Coach Oats landed the commitment. The Crimson Tide is planning to host Jackson for an official visit and that will be a major opportunity to move up his list. Kentucky and MSU, though, will be tough to beat out.

Jackson had this to say regarding what stands out about Alabama (247Sports):

"“Just their style of play, I was watching their videos at his old college and how he let them play position-less basketball, they like to run, the four man can push the ball and stuff.”"
