Elijah Taylor – Philadelphia, PA

PF | 6-foot-8 | 230 lbs | No. 215

Elijah Taylor is a tremendously well-built power forward with the ability to make a significant impact in the paint. Although he does not stretch the floor tremendously well, Taylor is a physical presence down low on both ends of the floor. He finishes at a high rate around the rim and is a remarkably consistent rebounder as well.

While playing on the Nike EYBL circuit, Taylor played a significant role for Team Final (PA). Across 18 contests with the team, he posted averages of 11.9 points (.554/.273/.623), 7.3 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in just over 20 minutes per game. This was an impressive impact and showcased why Taylor might be one of the most underrated players in the 2020 class.

As a result, his recruitment is also starting to heat up. Elijah Taylor has taken/scheduled official visits to VCU, Seton Hall, Florida, Notre Dame, and Pittsburgh and it seems likely that these are the schools prioritizing him. Taylor is also a strong student and could be seeking a school with great academics.

Notre Dame certainly fits that mold and therefore they should be in a strong position to potentially land the young forward. Coach Brey would definitely welcome a commitment from Taylor but so would all the other programs involved.
