1. Another year of Devon Dotson

We barely even touched upon the biggest addition for the Jayhawks this season. While De Sousa could have a major impact and the freshmen class is stellar, Kansas is adding former Iowa star Isaiah Moss, who will immediately be eligible to bomb threes and be a difference-maker on both ends of the floor.

Still, if the Jayhawks expect to win the Big 12 this season, their linchpin will be Devon Dotson.

As a freshman, the Chicago native started in every game, averaging 12.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game, shooting 36.3 percent from 3-point range. He was named to the All-Big 12 Third Team, one of just three freshmen in the conference to make one of the three All-Conference teams.

Now, the Jayhawks are his. Dotson spent the offseason working on his game and body, putting out videos of him honing his craft in preparation for a pivotal season. Depending on how this year goes, it could be his last in Lawrence, with the NBA in his crosshairs.

When looking at a list of returning Big 12 stars, there may not be a better player in the conference returning to his school. A Big 12 Player of the Year award is a distinct possibility.

The Kansas Jayhawks will win the Big 12 if Devon Dotson has the season everyone expects of him; Bill Self has to feel like the team is in good hands.
