Indiana Hoosiers

Indiana has not been the most successful program on the court in recent years but their recruiting wins have been well-documented. The Hoosiers have consistently snagged some high-level prospects over the past few years and head coach Archie Miller definitely has some momentum on his side. Indiana already holds three commits for the 2020 class and all of them are ranked in the top 150. As a result, IU’s current trio is ranked as the No. 5 overall class in the nation.

It is clear that Dawson Garcia would be playing with a few other highly-touted freshmen if he chooses Bloomington. That box is checked. Additionally, the IU coaching staff has been heavily targeting the young forward for a long time. The Hoosiers first issued Garcia a scholarship offer back in May of this year. He would fill a major positional need in the frontcourt for the team and would follow in the footsteps of potential one-and-done 2019 commit Trayce Jackson-Davis.

With all of that said, though, there are a lot of other top-tier programs involved in this recruiting battle. The Hoosiers do not boast a ton of recent success on the court and that could be detrimental to their chances here. IU has one scholarship remaining for this class and it appears that the staff is focusing on Garcia and Hassan Diarra for that spot.
