Who will be in Murray State’s rotation?

Three of the Racers’ starting spots are more than likely spoken for by the Brown who shined during the team’s trip to the Bahamas averaging over 21 points and grabbed 5.7 rebounds, senior 6-8 forward Cowart could be poised for a big year after starting in the team’s final 13 games last season and netting 10 points and 6.5 boards as a junior, shooting over 54% from the field, and Williams who had a nice freshman year with 22 starts, shooting nearly 70% from the field with 7.6 points and 4.7 boards per game.

Both the forward and guard units should be bolstered by the return of Anthony and DaQuan Smith respectively, and both were productive in the Bahamas. The backcourt will once again be a strength for the Racers with Brown, a healthy DaQuan Smith, and a slimmed-down Jaiveon Eaves. The 6-2 senior could play crucial reserve minutes, and perhaps the biggest revelation on the trip may also be the answer to the team’s biggest question, point guard play.

The freshmen duo of Kamba and Carter, Jr. excelled in the Bahamas, giving coaches and fans the hope that the point guard position isn’t as much of a question mark as originally thought. Lastly, Robinson and Holliday are likely to see key minutes in their first year with the program, Holliday specifically could see time as a starter due to his toughness and defensive chops.
