Duke has not won the ACC regular-season championship since 2010. It doesn’t feel like it has been that long, but it has.

This will be the year that changes. Kind of funny that it wasn’t last season’s historic freshman class featuring Zion Williamson, RJ Barrett, and Cam Reddish that ended the streak, but Duke welcomes in another class full of five-stars that may do so.

Tre Jones, one of the two holdovers of last year’s freshman class (Joey Baker), is back to lead the show. Injuries largely limited him throughout the second half of the season and he’s excited to show an improved offensive game, particularly from the perimeter.

They also fixed last season’s biggest weakness by adding more perimeter shooting, and this year’s freshmen have skill sets that may actually fit better together on the court than last year’s class.
