Oregon Ducks

Oregon looks poised to be one of the best teams in the country during this coming season. Head coach Dana Altman has put together a strong roster and the Ducks should contend for the Pac-12 title. Following this campaign, though, Oregon’s star backcourt duo of Payton Pritchard and Anthony Mathis will be graduating. While their losses will certainly be felt, Coach Altman will need to find replacements in the 2020 recruiting class.

Andre Curbelo is one of Oregon’s top backcourt targets but they are still relatively new to his recruitment. The Ducks only issued him a scholarship back in August and they have been steadily after the youngster since then. Coach Altman might have to make up some ground on other programs but Oregon is highly-regarded as an elite recruiting program. Oregon is very active in this recruiting battle and they might be hard to turn down. They offer the opportunity to play for the national title alongside other top-tier freshmen.

It is important to mention, though, that Oregon is also targeting a couple of other backcourt prospects in the class as well. Most notably, the Ducks are eagerly looking to add the likes of Kadary Richmond, Nimari Burnett, and/or Jalen Green. They are also heavily targeting Scottie Barnes as a wing. It is hard to predict exactly who Oregon will land but you cannot overlook how exceptional the program has been on the recruiting trail in recent years.

Coach Altman has turned Oregon into a recruiting powerhouse and they are a dangerous threat in any battle. They are a legit contender to land Curbelo.
