2. Ohio State Buckeyes at North Carolina Tar Heels

The next game up in this Big Ten/ACC preview is going be The Ohio State University traveling to Chapel Hill, North Carolina to face off with the Tar Heels. This game tips off on December 4th, at 9:30 p.m.

The Buckeyes will be looking to add to their resume with the non-conference games they are playing this year. The key to Ohio State’s success, especially against the Tar Heels, will be the play of Kaleb Wesson. He is not alone on this roster with the additions of DJ Carton, Alonzo Gaffney, and sit-out transfer CJ Walker from Florida State. Coach Holtmann will have plenty of playmakers on this roster to choose from going into the year.

Although the end of last year was a little disappointing last year I would make this Buckeye’s team a team to watch all year. They are poised to make a big run in the postseason this year. The young talent of this roster will definitely be on display at Chapel Hill, the question of the day will be, are they good enough to compete with the likes of North Carolina?

North Carolina under Roy Williams has always been a very competitive team even when the talent base is not there. This year I do not see anything else being different. Even though they had to revamp their whole roster they are still going to be a team to watch out for in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Williams lost six of his key contributors but recruited very well. This team will have to rely on the young playmakers to contribute to winning a lot of games this year. This team starts off with a pretty simple schedule until they play their Battle 4 Atlantis tournament where they could face off with Michigan early on. I do believe that this will be a big test for the youth of North Carolina.

With all of this being said this was a tough game to predict. You have a lot of possible talent on both teams going into this game. Playing in Chapel Hill is also a task in itself. With that being said I do believe that Ohio St has few more players that have played in big College Basketball games that will lead them to the victory by a score of 72-68.
