No. 6 – Santa Clara Broncos

Santa Clara and LMU both went 8-8 in league play last year, but SCU gets a higher spot in the power rankings because they are returning all five of their leading scorers from last season.

They did lose KJ Feagin, who only played two games last year due to injury, to San Diego State – but the return of Tahj Eaddy and Josip Vrankic and a potentially rising star in big man Zeke Richards should allow this team to be better in 2019-20.

They have an outside chance of finishing in the top-five in the conference, although it would take a pretty monstrous output for them to finish top-three.

No. 5 – San Francisco Dons

The Dons finished fourth in the conference last year, thanks in large part to the outstanding performance from guard Frankie Ferrari – who averaged 14.7 points and 5.5 assists per game last season.

The team will have a hard time replacing Ferrari, but they do get Jordan Ratinho, Charles Minlend and Jamaree Bouyea back, which should allow them to maintain a spot in the top-five of the conference.

New coach Todd Golden has some work to do if he and the Dons are going to break into the top-three of the conference and return the school to their glory days from decades ago.
