3) Yale

2018-19 Record: 22-8 (10-4)

The defending Ivy League Champions have lost some key players that were extremely influential in getting them to where they were. For that, they are third, but please don’t be fooled. Yale is still very much able to compete at the top of the league, it just seems as if Harvard and Pennsylvania have the slight edge.

Finding the guys capable of stepping up and replacing Miye Oni will be very tough for Yale in 2019, but the Bulldogs still boast a very strong frontcourt. Senior Jordan Bruner led the team in rebounds last season while averaging 10.4 ppg, and Paul Atkinson contributed 9.1 ppg. Due to their return, Yale looks to have the strongest frontcourt in the Ivy League this season.

Yale has also recruited decently in 2019 compared to other schools in the conference. The addition of 3-star guard, August Mahoney, and 3-star forward, EJ Jarvis, has Yale’s 2019 class ranked 2nd in the Ivy League according to 247Sports. These guys may certainly be called upon early to fill in the gaps.

I feel like Yale will be competitive once again and make the Ivy League race very interesting.
