521. . Forward/Center. Huskies . Isaiah Stewart. 19. player

Washington has quietly been one of the more successful programs in the nation over the past few seasons. Under the leadership of head coach Mike Hopkins, the Huskies definitely appear to be on the rise. In addition to making scheme changes in Seattle, Coach Hopkins has shown some serious recruiting chops. Isaiah Stewart, a 6-foot-9 big man out of La Lumiere School, is the crown jewel of his incoming recruiting class and he should be a star right away.

Stewart arrives on campus as the No. 3 overall freshman in the country. With an incredibly physical frame and a top-notch motor, Stewart projects as a monster in the frontcourt. He rebounds at an impressive rate and he uses his strong frame to muscle his way for consistent buckets. Stewart is also a reliable and versatile defender. It would not be a major shock if he averages a double-double this season while anchoring Washington’s defense. He will be a big-time star out west.

Washington is projected to be one of the top contenders in the Pac-12 this season and they might need to win the conference in order for Stewart to take home this hardware. That definitely isn’t out of the question, though. The Huskies are young but they are also well-coached and very talented. The dynamic frontcourt duo of Stewart and Jaden McDaniels will be hard to stop. Also, watch for RaeQuan Battle to be a solid scorer in the backcourt. This freshman class is special.
