Loser: Notre Dame

The 2018-19 season was a rough one for Notre Dame. After senior Rex Pflueger went down for the season with a knee injury in December, the Irish went into a tailspin and finished in last place in the ACC.

The good news is that Pflueger was able to return for what will be his redshirt senior season in 2019-20.

The bad news? The Irish will be running it back with essentially the same roster because they didn’t land a single commit in the 2019 recruiting class. Not one!

Head coach Mike Brey was still active on the recruiting trail and offered a scholarship to 11 prospects that ranked in the top 100, but all of them turned the Fighting Irish down.

Now Notre Dame has to try to improve on last season’s dismal 14-19 record (including a 3-15 mark in ACC play) with the same players that caused them to finish with that record. No reinforcements are coming.

Again, not great!
