2. The Big Ten wins nine games in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge

Last year the ACC was supposed to be the best conference and they might have been but the Big Ten still tied them in last year’s challenge. The biggest upset was Penn State winning at Virginia Tech. The other games were for the most part great except for Michigan’s surprising blow out of North Carolina and Duke routing Indiana.

This year the Big Ten is going to prove they have more depth and not only win the challenge but win nine games in it.

There are more games that seem to lean the Big Ten’s way than the ACC. Penn State is better than Wake Forrest. Illinois looks better than Miami and Maryland better than Notre Dame.

The ACC just doesn’t look like have they have many games were they are just that much better than the Big Ten. That is not saying they won’t win those games, but they just aren’t overwhelming favorites.

There does look to be some great games on the schedule with Duke traveling to Michigan State (yes they are finally going on the road during the challenge). Ohio State visits North Carolina and Michigan gets a 2013 title game rematch when they head to Louisville.

It should be a great challenge but I’m predicting the Big Ten gets nine wins in the challenge and prove they are the best conference in the country this year. They win the close games and win a few big games also. The Big Ten is deep this year and will show it during the challenge.
