Honorable Mention Part 1

D’Mitrik Trice, Junior, Guard, Wisconsin

Honorable mentions are going to go in no particular order. D’Mitrik Trice was thrown into the fire right away as a freshman. Showed some great signs of knocking down shots. He struggled when he had to run the point when Bronson Koenig missed two games. His second year was lost 10 games in after sustaining an injury. Trice entered last season as a redshirt sophomore and fulltime point guard. He played and started in all 34 games. The guy was on fire early on. Couldn’t miss at times which led to some nice victories. He really cooled down which is why he didn’t crack the top-15. His assists numbers aren’t where efficient Big Ten point guards should be, but that had to do with Ethan Happ. Happ’s gone and we already know that Trice has a great stroke so his numbers should improve.

Brad Davison, Junior, Guard, Wisconsin

This slide is going to be just all Wisconsin Badgers. The guy previously led the Badgers in scoring last season behind Ethan Happ. Brad Davison was the third guy in double-figures last season. Davison had to do almost everything in his freshman season because Happ would see double and triple teams every night. He finally got Trice and Kobe King back which helped in the backcourt. The points and assists went down, but the rebounds went up while turning the ball over improved as well. The offense at Wisconsin will now be focused around Davison and Trice with Nate Reuvers running the pick and roll which should help all three guys.
