Michigan State vs. Kentucky: 5 questions for 2019 Champions Classic game
By Joe Chambers
4. Is Grad Transfer Nate Sestina going to help the Wildcats?
Nate Sestina is a graduate student, who played for Bucknell University for his undergraduate career. Sestina was a great shooter, who averaged 15.8 ppg for the Bison last year. Look for the Wildcats to rely heavily on Sestina this year to be a leader for this young group of Wildcats. Sestina is a big forward who can shoot the ball. He shot above 60% in his career at Bucknell so expect him to get the ball a lot during this game against Michigan State.
Kentucky will have to have good leadership from Sestina in order to be able to manage the pressure of the Spartans. This is a 1v2 match-up so lots of people are going to be tuning into this game to see lots of good talent on the court.
Sestina played for Bucknell, much smaller school from the Patriot League, where the arenas weren’t as big as playing in Rupp Arena will be and playing at Madison Square Garden for the Champions Classic. Playing at MSG is an amazing experience, and I know Sestina is going to cherish this moment and perform at a high level.
