UConn Basketball: Biggest Takeaways from the Huskies week in Charleston
UConn is Fun to Watch Again
Something UConn had lacked in the first few games that we saw in Charleston? Swagger. UConn looked confident and full of energy this week and it was refreshing to see. This UConn team just looked different.
Hopefully, UConn can carry this momentum into the rest of their season, UConn looked sharp and ready to go as soon as the ball tipped. UConn had struggled terribly in the early part of games in their first three games of the year but it didn’t really happen in Charleston.
Watching Brendan Adams come off the bench in the Buffalo game and drop a career-high 20 points was exciting. Watching the freshmen be able to step up in the big moments and do well was refreshing. There was a different energy we hadn’t seen from UConn this year.
Add in the energy that Hurley brings off the bench and the pure passion he displays and Uconn are really exciting to watch. The Huskies will come back to Connecticut from Charleston for two home games against Maine and Iona before taking on an Indiana team that hasn’t lost yet in Madison Square Garden.
UConn will be fun to follow if they can continue to play with high energy and with that swagger they showed in Charleston. The Huskies have to keep their foot on the gas as they prepare to open conference play at Cincinnati on New year’s Day.
