Michigan Basketball: 2019-20 keys to beat Iowa State in Battle 4 Atlantis

1. Keep feeding Isaiah Livers
Simpson and Teske have been steady for the Wolverines this year and Eli Brooks exploded in Michigan’s first game, but Livers has been the best player for this team this year.
He showed flashes of being good last year but with his increased role in Michigan’s offense he is thriving. He is averaging 17.3 points per game in the early season and is shooting 55% from behind the arc, already hitting 27 triples.
He scored 22 points against Creighton is a very good game and then topped it by scoring 24 against Houston Baptist on Friday which included shooting 9-10 from the field. Livers has shown to be very efficient from all over the court as he can get to the rim and shoot it from the outside.
LIvers is proving to be one of the best players not only on the Wolverines but in the entire Big Ten. He is a matchup problem for most teams because of his size and ability to handle the rock. He can finish at the rim and is a good free-throw shooter also.
The Wolverines need to ride his hot hand as long as they can. Livers is looking like the go-to scorer that was a big question mark for Michigan coming into the season. He has shown he can do it for more than just one game and the Wolverines need to take advantage.
Keep getting Livers open shots and it should serve well for the Wolverines. If Livers remains hot, Michigan has a great shot to make noise in the Bahamas.
