4. Temple Owls

Temple has been really impressive in their first few games under new head coach Aaron Mckie. A big win at USC saw the Owls head to Orlando with invitational and they put up strong showing by taking Maryland down to the wire. Add in another win against Davidson and the Owls are putting together one of the better resumes in the conference.

Quinton Rose and Nate Pierre-Louis make up one of the best backcourts in the country, the Owls have shooters everywhere. The biggest question I think for Temple will be consistency and how they’re able to match up with the bigger teams in the conference.

What was thought to be a transition year for Temple has been quite the opposite, Mckie is the perfect replacement for Dunphy and Owls fans have to be excited about what this guy brings to the table for the future of Temple basketball.

Temple closes out non-conference play against Miami before opening conference play with UCF and Tulsa. In an ideal world Temple can win all of those games and sit at 10-2 and 2-0 in conference play. This team has potential. When they’re clicking they might be as good as any team in this conference, they’re a team that has to hit outside shots and when they can’t they’re vulnerable.
