2. The Cardinal need to fire up the three-ball

Both teams are accurate at making their threes.  Stanford is shooting 39.8% from behind the arc (21st in the nation) and USF makes 37.9% (38th).  The Dons take advantage of their accuracy by scoring 38.3% of their total points from threes.  However, three-pointers only account for 29.3% of their points.

USF is one of the worst Division I teams at opponents three-point percentage and Stanford needs to take advantage.  Jones is leading the way from the forward position for the Cardinal, hitting 29 for 59 (49.2%).   Next is Terry going 17 for 44 (38.6%)

After those two, there is not much threat from behind the line.  6’3 junior guard Daejon Davis is hitting 52.9% on only 17 shots.  Davis has been more concerned with running the offense than shooting, thus far.  He needs to take the three if the Dons are giving it to him.

6’2 junior guard Isaac White comes off the bench and has been heating it up as of late.  The Australian went 3-4 on three-pointers against San Jose State on Dec. 14.  He did not play in the Butler game.

Those four Cardinal are not going to get much from elsewhere on the team.  Those that can, do.  Just do it.
