No. 4 New Orleans Pelicans – Cole Anthony, UNC Guard

For the second consecutive year, the Pelicans can pick up a guy with No. 1 pick talent in Cole Anthony.

Like most other teams picking at the top of the draft, the season has not gone as planned for the New Orleans Pelicans.

Zion Williamson has still yet to make his professional debut and it’s not quite clear how he’s going to look when he does so. Luckily for the Pelicans, Brandon Ingram has developed into a budding star this season.

Assuming that New Orleans opts to extend Ingram this offseason rather than letting him walk, nabbing Cole Anthony in the draft would be huge for the team. Anthony is a guy who has had his name in talks for the No. 1 pick before.

It could be argued that Anthony is the best point guard available in this draft. He has a great shooting touch, freakish athleticism, and he is a non-stop competitor.

Anthony running pick-and-rolls with Zion would be a joy to watch, and pairing him with Jrue Holiday would make for one ferocious defensive backcourt.

The Pelicans may not have had good luck this season, but if their fortune breaks right this offseason, they could be downright scary next year.
